The prototype application in product design

The prototype realize designer’s creation by digital way, and provide condition for designers to verify
the design program more accurately.But it makes designers further break away the production
process,thus many scholars and designers began to be inconsistent with the over-reliance on the
digitized model manufacturing. They proposed that in developed western countries, designers often
make product model by themselves, scrutiny details and improve program in constant interaction
with the material. The model not just present the design results by materialized way ,but one part
of the design process ,it is more intuitive and comprehensive than expression way of the sketches,
computer effect drawing. Completely rely on the model manufacturing of computer and advanced
machine. Reduced the interaction of designers and materials, shape,will certainly reduce the
meaning and value of the model manufacturing.
